This lens mount is characterized by its wide 54mm diameter and 20mm short flange distance. This design places the lenses closer to the sensor. This makes it possible to create lenses that are not only smaller but also much faster than their SLR equivalents. The lens mount also features a 12-pin electronic contact system for more advanced autofocus and image stabilization capabilities. The RF mount also offers full compatibility with EF and EF-S mount lenses with the EF-EOS R mount adapter. 30.3 megapixel full-frame sensor and DIGIC 8 image processor The 30.3 megapixel full-frame CMOS sensor offers the ideal balance between high-resolution images, low-light performance and speed. Combined with the DIGIC 8 image processor, the EOS R offers an ISO range of 100-40000, which can be expanded to ISO 50-102400 for working in a wide variety of lighting conditions. The speed of 8 frames per second is ideal for capturing moving subjects. Dual Pixel AF for blazing-fast, pin-sharp focus The Dual Pixel autofocus system ensures that the Canon EOS R focuses smoothly and accurately. This is possible thanks to the advanced phase detection system in which you can choose from no fewer than 5655 focus points. Most of the pixels on the sensor are used for lightning fast focusing during shooting and smooth and sharp subject tracking during filming. Professional filming with the EOS R Designed for the multimedia creator, the Canon EOS R supports UHD 4K video at up to 30fps at 480MB/s, full HD 1080p at 60fps and HD 720p at 120fps for slow-motion playback. The combination of the CMOS sensor and DIGIC 8 processor allows you to record colorful and highly detailed 4K video, with 10-bit output via HDMI. This professional video output gives you maximum editing capabilities, as well as capabilities such as 4K time-lapse recording and 4K frame jokes. The camera has both a microphone input and a headphone jack. Dual Pixel RAW Like the EOS 5D Mark IV, the EOS R features Dual Pixel RAW. Dual Pixel RAW makes it possible to store all the information that the sensor's unique pixel architecture can provide, allowing you to make fine adjustments after you've taken the shot. These adjustments include focus fine-tuning that helps you slightly adjust the focus point to bring out extra detail, shift the bokeh for better composition, or reduce the impact of ghosting on your photos.
